Psalm 40:2

And ^(B)He set my feet on a rock, ^(C)making my footsteps firm.

²He lifted me out of the slimy pit,^(A)
out of the mud^(B) and mire;^(C)
he set my feet^(D) on a rock^(E)
and gave me a firm place to stand.

²⁶^(A)^[a]Watch the path of your feet,
And all your ^(B)ways will be established.

²⁶Give careful thought to the^[a] paths for your feet^(A)
and be steadfast in all your ways.
