⁷ Be still^(A) before the Lord
    and wait patiently^(B) for him;
do not fret^(C) when people succeed in their ways,^(D)
    when they carry out their wicked schemes.^(E)

⁵ I wait for the Lord,^(A) my whole being waits,^(B)
    and in his word^(C) I put my hope.

⁷ Israel, put your hope^(A) in the Lord,
    for with the Lord is unfailing love^(B)
    and with him is full redemption.^(C)
