Psalm 35:19

¹⁹^(A) Don't let my brutal enemies
be glad because of me.
They hate me for no reason.
Don't let them wink
behind my back.

Psalm 35:19

New International Version

¹⁹Do not let those gloat over me
who are my enemies^(A) without cause;
do not let those who hate me without reason^(B)
maliciously wink the eye.^(C)

²⁵^(A) This is why the Scriptures are true when they say, “People hated me for no reason.”

²⁵But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law:^(A) ‘They hated me without reason.’^[a]^(B)
