⁴I call out to the Lord,^(A)
and he answers me from his holy mountain.^(B)

⁴I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

²My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,^(A)
by night,^(B) but I find no rest.^[a]

²O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

⁷And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out^(A) to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

⁷And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
