¹⁵ and wine to gladden the human heart,
oil to make the face shine

New International Version

¹⁵wine^(A) that gladdens human hearts,
oil^(B) to make their faces shine,
and bread that sustains^(C) their hearts.

¹²For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money,
and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to the one who possesses it.

¹²Wisdom is a shelter
as money is a shelter,
but the advantage of knowledge is this:
Wisdom preserves those who have it.
