⁵ I wait for the Lord,^(A) my whole being waits,^(B)
    and in his word^(C) I put my hope.
⁶ I wait for the Lord
    more than watchmen^(D) wait for the morning,
    more than watchmen wait for the morning.^(E)

⁷ Israel, put your hope^(F) in the Lord,
    for with the Lord is unfailing love^(G)
    and with him is full redemption.^(H)

²⁴ I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;^(A)
    therefore I will wait for him.”

²⁵ The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
    to the one who seeks him;^(B)
26 it is good to wait quietly^(C)
    for the salvation of the Lord.^(D)
