¹⁴ He makes grass grow^(A) for the cattle,
    and plants for people to cultivate—
    bringing forth food^(B) from the earth:
¹⁵ wine^(C) that gladdens human hearts,
    oil^(D) to make their faces shine,
    and bread that sustains^(E) their hearts.
¹⁶ The trees of the Lord^(F) are well watered,
    the cedars of Lebanon^(G) that he planted.
¹⁷ There the birds^(H) make their nests;
    the stork has its home in the junipers.
¹⁸ The high mountains belong to the wild goats;^(I)
    the crags are a refuge for the hyrax.^(J)

¹⁹ He made the moon to mark the seasons,^(K)
    and the sun^(L) knows when to go down.
²⁰ You bring darkness,^(M) it becomes night,^(N)
    and all the beasts of the forest^(O) prowl.
²¹ The lions roar for their prey^(P)
    and seek their food from God.^(Q)
22 The sun rises, and they steal away;
    they return and lie down in their dens.^(R)
23 Then people go out to their work,^(S)
    to their labor until evening.^(T)

²⁴ How many are your works,^(U) Lord!
    In wisdom you made^(V) them all;
    the earth is full of your creatures.^(W)
25 There is the sea,^(X) vast and spacious,
    teeming with creatures beyond number—
    living things both large and small.^(Y)
26 There the ships^(Z) go to and fro,
    and Leviathan,^(AA) which you formed to frolic^(AB) there.^(AC)

²⁷ All creatures look to you
    to give them their food^(AD) at the proper time.
