3 (A)They journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the [a]next day after the Passover the sons of Israel (B)started out [b]with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,
4 but the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom Yahweh had struck down among them. Yahweh had also executed judgments (C)on their gods.
5 Then (D)the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses and camped in Succoth.

3 The Israelites set out(A) from Rameses(B) on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover.(C) They marched out defiantly(D) in full view of all the Egyptians, 4 who were burying all their firstborn,(E) whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment(F) on their gods.(G)
5 The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Sukkoth.(H)
