⁴⁰ Just as the weeds ^(A)are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at ^(B)the end of the age. ^41 (C)The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all ^(D)causes of sin and ^(E)all law-breakers, ^42 (F)and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place ^(G)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

^4 (A)Behold, it is given to the fire for fuel. When the fire has consumed both ends of it, and the middle of it is charred, is it useful for anything?
