Ang Pulong Sa Dios
Gisalikway si Jesus didto sa Nazaret
(Mat. 13:53-58; Luc. 4:16-30)
6 Human niadto, mipauli si Jesus sa iyang lungsod, ug miuban kaniya ang iyang mga tinun-an. 2 Sa pag-abot sa Adlaw nga Igpapahulay nagtudlo siya sa sinagoga sa mga Judio. Daghan ang mga tawo didto nga nakadungog kaniya ug natingala gayod sila. Miingon sila, “Nganong daghan mag nasayran kining tawhana? Asa man siya nakakuha niining kaalam? Ug nganong makabuhat man siyag mga milagro? 3 Dili ba siya man ang panday nga anak ni Maria ug mga igsoon niya sila si Santiago, Jose, Judas ug Simon, ug ang mga igsoon niya nga babaye dinhi usab nagapuyo?” Tungod niini dili gayod sila motuo kaniya. 4 Unya miingon si Jesus kanila, “Ang propeta tinahod bisan asa gawas lang diha sa iyang kaugalingon nga lungsod ug sa iyang mga paryente ug panimalay.” 5 Mao kana nga wala siya makabuhat ug mga milagro niadtong lugara, gawas lang sa pipila ka mga masakiton nga iyang gipandongan sa iyang mga kamot ug nangaayo. 6 Natingala siya nga dili sila motuo kaniya.

A Prophet Without Honor(A)
6 Jesus left there and went to his hometown,(B) accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came,(C) he began to teach in the synagogue,(D) and many who heard him were amazed.(E)
“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? 3 Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon?(F) Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.(G)
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”(H) 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on(I) a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve(J)
Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.(K)

2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
