Ang Paglubong kang Jesus

(Mat. 27:57-61; Mar. 15:42-47; Juan 19:38-42)

50-51 May usa ka tawo nga ang iyang ngalan mao si Jose nga taga-Arimatea nga sakop sa Judea. Miyembro siya sa korte sa mga Judio, apan wala siya mosugot sa ilang plano sa pagpatay kang Jesus. Maayo ug matarong siya nga tawo, ug naghulat siya sa paghari sa Dios. 52 Miadto siya kang Pilato ug gipangayo niya ang patayng lawas ni Jesus. 53 Unya gikuha niya ang patayng lawas ni Jesus didto sa krus ug gibuliboran sa panapton nga puti. Gipahimutang niya kini sa lubnganan nga gikabhang sa bakilid nga wala pa sukad malubngi. 54 Adlaw kadto sa pagpangandam alang sa Adlaw nga Igpapahulay.

55 Ang mga babaye nga miuban kang Jesus gikan sa Galilea misunod usab kang Jose ug nakita nila ang lubnganan ug ang pagkahiluna sa patayng lawas ni Jesus. 56 Unya mipauli sila ug nangandam ug mga pahumot nga idihog sa patayng lawas ni Jesus.

Apan sa Adlaw nga Igpapahulay, namahulay sila sumala sa Kasugoan.

The Burial of Jesus(A)

50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, 51 who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God.(B) 52 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body. 53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. 54 It was Preparation Day,(C) and the Sabbath was about to begin.

55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee(D) followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes.(E) But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.(F)

51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
