20 Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in (A)a handkerchief; 21 for I was afraid of you, because you are (B)a severe man. You take (C)what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ 22 He said to him, (D)‘I will condemn you with your own words, (E)you wicked servant! You knew that I was (F)a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow? 23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, and at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’ 24 And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’ 25 And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas!’ 26 ‘I tell you that (G)to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 27 But (H)as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and (I)slaughter them before me.’”

22 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words,(B) you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?(C) 23 Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’

24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’

25 “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’

26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away.(D) 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”
