³³ Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ³⁴ “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On ^(A)the fifteenth of this ^[a]seventh month is the ^(B)Feast of Booths for seven days to the Lord. ³⁵ On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall ^(C)not do any laborious work. ^36 (D)For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On ^(E)the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; it is an assembly. You shall not do any laborious work.

³⁷ ‘These are ^(F)the appointed times of the Lord which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to the Lord—burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, ^(G)each day’s matter on its own day— ³⁸ besides those of the Sabbaths of the Lord, and besides your gifts and besides all your ^[b]vowed and ^[c]voluntary offerings, which you give to the Lord.

³⁹ ‘On exactly the fifteenth day of the seventh month, ^(H)when you have gathered in the crops of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord for seven days, with a ^[d]rest on the first day and a ^[e]rest on the eighth day. ⁴⁰ Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the ^[f]foliage of beautiful trees, palm branches and branches of trees with thick branches and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days. ⁴¹ So you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a permanent statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. ⁴² You shall live ^(I)in booths for seven days; all the native-born in Israel shall live in booths, ⁴³ so that ^(J)your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’”

¹² ‘Then on ^(A)the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy assembly; you ^(B)shall do no laborious work, and you shall celebrate with a feast to the Lord for seven days. ¹³ You shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire as a soothing aroma to the Lord: thirteen bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old, which are without defect; ¹⁴ and their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for ^[a]each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenths for ^[b]each of the two rams, ¹⁵ and a tenth for each of the fourteen lambs; ¹⁶ and one male goat as a sin offering, ^(C)besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

¹⁷ ‘Then on ^(D)the second day: twelve bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; ¹⁸ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number ^(E)according to the ordinance; ¹⁹ and one male goat as a sin offering, ^(F)besides the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings.

²⁰ ‘Then on the third day: eleven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; ²¹ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; ²² and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and its drink offering.

²³ ‘Then on the fourth day: ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; ²⁴ their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; ²⁵ and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

²⁶ ‘Then on the fifth day: nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old ^(G)without defect; ²⁷ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; ²⁸ and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and its drink offering.

²⁹ ‘Then on the sixth day: eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; ³⁰ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; ³¹ and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offerings.

³² ‘Then on the seventh day: seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; ³³ and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; ³⁴ and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

³⁵ ‘^(H)On the eighth day you shall have a sacred assembly; you shall do no laborious work. ³⁶ But you shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs one year old without defect; ³⁷ their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; ³⁸ and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering and its grain offering, and its drink offering.

^3 (A)All the men of Israel assembled themselves before the king at ^(B)the feast, that is in the seventh month.

The Feast of Dedication

⁸ So ^(A)Solomon held the feast at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly that came from the entrance of Hamath to the ^(B)brook of Egypt.

¹⁰ Then on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people to their tents, rejoicing and happy in heart because of the goodness that the Lord had shown to David, to Solomon, and to His people Israel.
