⁷ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel,
    all that fight against her and her stronghold and who distress her,
    shall be like a dream, a vision of the night.^(A)

⁸ Just as when a hungry person dreams of eating
    and wakes up still hungry
or a thirsty person dreams of drinking
    and wakes up faint, still thirsty,
so shall the multitude of all the nations be
    that fight against Mount Zion.^(A)

⁹ Get you up to a high mountain,
    O Zion, herald of good news;^[a]
lift up your voice with strength,
    O Jerusalem, herald of good news;^[b]
    lift it up, do not fear;
say to the cities of Judah,
    “Here is your God!”^(A)

52 Awake; awake;
    put on your strength, O Zion!
Put on your beautiful garments,
    O Jerusalem, the holy city,
for the uncircumcised and the unclean
    shall enter you no more.^(A)

¹⁷ So you shall know that I, the Lord your God,
    dwell in Zion, my holy mountain.
And Jerusalem shall be holy,
    and strangers shall never again pass through it.^(A)
