⁹ The priest will remove the memorial portion^[a] from the grain offering and burn it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

¹⁶ The priest will then burn some of its crushed kernels and oil with all its frankincense as a fire offering to the Lord.

¹² He is to bring it to the priest, who will take a handful from it as its memorial portion^(A) and burn it on the altar along with the fire offerings to the Lord; it is a sin offering.

The Burnt Offering

^8 [a]The Lord spoke to Moses:

⁷ Place pure frankincense^(A) near each row, so that it may serve as a memorial portion^(B) for the bread and a fire offering^(C) to the Lord.

²⁶ The priest is to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial portion and burn it on the altar. Then he will require the woman to drink the water.

⁴ Looking intently at him, he became afraid and said, “What is it, lord?”

The angel told him, “Your prayers and your acts of charity have come up as a memorial offering before God.^(A)
