15 And every soul that eateth [a]that which dieth of itself, or that which is torn of beasts, whether he be home-born or a sojourner, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean. 16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.

15 “‘Anyone, whether native-born or foreigner, who eats anything(A) found dead or torn by wild animals(B) must wash their clothes and bathe with water,(C) and they will be ceremonially unclean till evening;(D) then they will be clean. 16 But if they do not wash their clothes and bathe themselves, they will be held responsible.(E)’”
