Ang Pagkamatay ni Jesus
(Mat. 27:45-56; Mar. 15:33-41; Luc. 23:44-49)
28 Nahibalo si Jesus nga human na ang tanan, ug aron matuman ang Kasulatan miingon siya, “Giuhaw ako.” 29 May usa didto ka sudlanan nga puno sa aslom nga bino. Busa gituslob sa mga sundalo ang espongha sa bino ug gitaod dayon nila kini sa tumoy sa usa ka isopo nga tanom ug gipaduol sa baba ni Jesus. 30 Sa dihang nasupsop na niya kini, miingon siya, “Nahuman na!” Unya midungo siya ug nabugto ang iyang gininhawa.

The Death of Jesus(A)
28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished,(B) and so that Scripture would be fulfilled,(C) Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of wine vinegar(D) was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.”(E) With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
