John 19:37-39

37 And again another scripture saith, [a]They shall look on him whom they pierced.
38 And after these things Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took away his body. 39 And there came also Nicodemus, he who at the first came to him by night, bringing a [b]mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.

37 and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”[a](A)
The Burial of Jesus(B)
38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders.(C) With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus,(D) the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.[b]
