Jeremiah 6:6-8
English Standard Version
6 For thus says the Lord of hosts:
(A)“Cut down her trees;
(B)cast up a siege mound against Jerusalem.
This is the city that must be (C)punished;
there is nothing but oppression within her.
7 (D)As a well keeps its water fresh,
so she keeps fresh her evil;
(E)violence and destruction are heard within her;
sickness and wounds are ever before me.
8 Be warned, O Jerusalem,
(F)lest I turn from you in disgust,
lest I make you (G)a desolation,
an uninhabited land.”
Jeremiah 6:6-8
New International Version
6 This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“Cut down the trees(A)
and build siege ramps(B) against Jerusalem.
This city must be punished;
it is filled with oppression.(C)
7 As a well pours out its water,
so she pours out her wickedness.
Violence(D) and destruction(E) resound in her;
her sickness and wounds are ever before me.
8 Take warning, Jerusalem,
or I will turn away(F) from you
and make your land desolate
so no one can live in it.”
