Hebrews 12:10-12
New Century Version
10 Our fathers on earth disciplined us for a short time in the way they thought was best. But God disciplines us to help us, so we can become holy as he is. 11 We do not enjoy being disciplined. It is painful at the time, but later, after we have learned from it, we have peace, because we start living in the right way.

12 You have become weak, so make yourselves strong again.

10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.(A) 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace(B) for those who have been trained by it.
12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.(C)
