Numbers 26:5-11
New International Version
5 The descendants of Reuben,(A) the firstborn son of Israel, were:
through Hanok,(B) the Hanokite clan;
through Pallu,(C) the Palluite clan;
6 through Hezron,(D) the Hezronite clan;
through Karmi,(E) the Karmite clan.
7 These were the clans of Reuben; those numbered were 43,730.
8 The son of Pallu was Eliab, 9 and the sons of Eliab(F) were Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. The same Dathan and Abiram were the community(G) officials who rebelled against Moses and Aaron and were among Korah’s followers when they rebelled against the Lord.(H) 10 The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them(I) along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire devoured the 250 men.(J) And they served as a warning sign.(K) 11 The line of Korah,(L) however, did not die out.(M)
Numbers 26:5-11
King James Version
5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben; Hanoch, of whom cometh the family of the Hanochites: of Pallu, the family of the Palluites:
6 Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7 These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8 And the sons of Pallu; Eliab.
9 And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the Lord:
10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.
