³When I heard this report, I tore my tunic and robe, pulled out some of the hair from my head and beard, and sat down devastated.^(A)

³When I heard this, I tore^(A) my tunic and cloak, pulled hair from my head and beard and sat down appalled.^(B)

⁶I gave My back to those who beat Me,
and My cheeks to those who tore out My beard.
I did not hide My face from scorn and spitting.^(A)

⁶I offered my back to those who beat^(A) me,
my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard;^(B)
I did not hide my face
from mocking and spitting.^(C)
