Ezra 3:12-13

12 But many of the older priests, Levites, and family leaders, who had seen the first temple, wept loudly when they saw the foundation of this house,(A) but many others shouted joyfully. 13 The people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shouting from that of the[a] weeping,(B) because the people were shouting so loudly. And the sound was heard far away.

12 But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple,(A) wept(B) aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. 13 No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy(C) from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.
