⁴¹The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred twenty and eight.

²³The musicians^(A) were under the king’s orders, which regulated their daily activity.

²³For it was the king's commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.

²⁵In front are the singers,^(A) after them the musicians;^(B)
with them are the young women playing the timbrels.^(C)

²⁵The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
