Then he said to them, (A)“Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out.” So they went out and struck in the city. And while they were striking, and I was left alone, (B)I fell upon my face, and cried, (C)“Ah, Lord God! (D)Will you destroy all the remnant of Israel (E)in the outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?”

Then he said to me, (F)“The guilt of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great. (G)The land is full of blood, and the city full of injustice. For (H)they say, ‘The Lord has forsaken the land, and the Lord does not see.’

Then he said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain.(A) Go!” So they went out and began killing throughout the city. While they were killing and I was left alone, I fell facedown,(B) crying out, “Alas, Sovereign Lord!(C) Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath(D) on Jerusalem?(E)

He answered me, “The sin of the people of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of injustice.(F) They say, ‘The Lord has forsaken the land; the Lord does not see.’(G)
