Exodus 5:22

²²Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people?^(A) Is this why you sent me?

Exodus 5:22

King James Version

²²And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?

¹⁶‘The Lord was not able to bring these people into the land he promised them on oath,^(A) so he slaughtered them in the wilderness.’^(B)

¹⁶Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.
