¹³Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.^[a]^(A)

¹³But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:

²¹Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole^(A) beside the altar you build to the Lord your God,^(B)

²¹Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
