⁸ Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe makes people blind to what is right and ruins the cause of those who are innocent.

^19 (A)They are not to be unjust or show partiality in their judgments; and they are not to accept bribes, for gifts blind the eyes even of wise and honest men, and cause them to give wrong decisions.

^25 (A)“If you lend money to any of my people who are poor, do not act like a moneylender and require him to pay interest.

³⁶ Do not charge Israelites any interest, but obey God and let them live near you. ^37 (A)Do not make them pay interest on the money you lend them, and do not make a profit on the food you sell them.
