9 (A)The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will (B)divide the spoil;
My [a]desire shall be fulfilled against them;
I will draw out my sword, my hand will dispossess them.’
10 (C)You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them;
(D)They sank like lead in the [b]mighty waters.

Isaiah 19:11-16

11 The princes of [a](A)Zoan are merely ignorant fools;
The counsel of Pharaoh’s wisest counselors has become [b]senseless.
How can you men say to Pharaoh,
“I am a son of the (B)wise, a son of the kings of old”?
12 Well then, where are your wise men?
Please let them tell you,
And let them [c]understand what Yahweh of hosts
Has (C)counseled against Egypt.
13 The princes of [d]Zoan have acted as ignorant fools,
The princes of (D)Memphis are deluded;
Those who are the (E)cornerstone of her tribes
[e]Have led Egypt astray.
14 Yahweh has mixed within her a spirit of (F)distortion;
(G)They have led Egypt astray in all [f]that it does,
As a (H)drunken man [g]strays into his vomit.
15 There will be no work for Egypt
(I)Which its head or tail, its palm branch or bulrush, may do.
Yahweh Will Bless Egypt, Assyria, and Israel
16 In that day the Egyptians will become like women, and they will tremble and be in (J)dread because of the (K)waving of the hand of Yahweh of hosts, which He is going to wave over them.
