Good News Translation
24 He will put their kings in your power. You will kill them, and they will be forgotten. No one will be able to stop you; you will destroy everyone. 25 Burn their idols. Do not desire the silver or gold that is on them, and do not take it for yourselves. If you do, that will be fatal, because the Lord hates idolatry. 26 Do not bring any of these idols into your homes, or the same curse will be on you that is on them. You must hate and despise these idols, because they are under the Lord's curse.

24 He will give their kings(A) into your hand,(B) and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand up against you;(C) you will destroy them.(D) 25 The images of their gods you are to burn(E) in the fire. Do not covet(F) the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared(G) by it, for it is detestable(H) to the Lord your God. 26 Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction.(I) Regard it as vile and utterly detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.
