15 (A)You shall give him his wages on the same day, before the sun sets (for he is poor and counts on it), (B)lest he cry against you to the Lord, and you be guilty of sin.
16 (C)“Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.
17 (D)“You shall not pervert the justice due to the sojourner or to the fatherless, (E)or take a widow's garment in pledge,

15 Pay them their wages each day before sunset, because they are poor(A) and are counting on it.(B) Otherwise they may cry to the Lord against you, and you will be guilty of sin.(C)
16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.(D)
17 Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless(E) of justice,(F) or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge.
