49 Markaasuu Yacquub wiilashiisii u yeedhay; oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Isa soo urursada, aan idiin sheego waxyaalaha maalmaha ugu dambeeya idinku dhici doona.
2 Wiilashii Yacquubow, isa soo urursada, oo maqla,
Oo i dhegaysta anigoo ah aabbihiin Israa'iil.
3 Ruubeenow, waxaad tahay curadkayga, iyo xooggayga, iyo itaalkayga bilowgiisa,
Xagga sharafka adaa u sarreeya, xagga xooggana adaa u sarreeya.
4 Waxaad tahay sida biyo socda, oo ma sarrayn doontid,
Maxaa yeelay, adigu waxaad fuushay sariirtii aabbahaa;
Waanad nijaasaysay. Wuxuu fuulay sariirtaydii.
5 Simecoon iyo Laawi waa walaalo,
Seefahoodu waa hub dirireed.
6 Naftaydiiyey, ha gelin guddigooda,
Oo ururkoodana ha la midoobin, ammaantaydiiyey;
Waayo, cadhadoodii nin bay ku dileen,
Oo qushigooday dibi ku boqno jareen.
7 Habaar ha ku dhaco cadhadooda, waayo, xoog bay lahayd,
Habaar ha ku dhaco ciilkooda, waayo, naxariis ma uu lahayn.
Reer Yacquub baan ku kala qaybin, oo reer binu Israa'iil baan ku kala firdhin.
8 Yahuudahow, walaalahaa waa ku ammaani doonaan.
Gacantaadu waxay saarnaan doontaa cadaawayaashaada qoortooda,
Anigoo ah aabbahaana wiilashaydu way kuu sujuudi doonaan,
9 Yahuudah waa libaax dhashiis.
Wiilkaygiiyow, wixii aad ugaadhsatay waad ka tagtay.
Wuu kadaloobsaday, oo wuxuu u jiifsaday sida aar,
Iyo sida gool, haddaba yaa kicin doona?
10 Usha boqortooyadu kama tegi doonto Yahuudah,
Usha taliyuhuna cagihiisa kama dhex bixi doonto;
Ilaa Shiiloh yimaado;
Dadkuna isagay addeeci doonaan.
11 Qaylkiisa wuxuu ku xidhaa geed canab ah,
Dameerkiisa yarna canabka la doorto,
Dharkiisa wuxuu ku maydhaa khamri,
Lebiskiisana dhiig canab.
12 Indhihiisu waxay la guduudan doonaan khamri,
Ilkihiisuna waxay la caddaan doonaan caano.
13 Sebulun wuxuu degganaan doonaa badda xeebteeda.
Wuxuuna noqon doonaa marsada doonniyaha,
Xuduudkiisuna wuxuu ahaan doonaa Siidoon agteeda.
14 Isaakaar waa dameer xoog weyn,
Oo jiifsada xeryaha idaha dhexdooda.
15 Oo wuxuu arkay meel lagu nasto inay wanaagsan tahay,
Iyo dhulku inuu nimcaysan yahay;
Kolkaasuu garbihiisa u soo goday inuu wax ku qaado,
Oo addoon buu u noqday hawshii.
16 Daanna wuxuu dadkiisa u xukumi doonaa
Sidii qabiilooyinka Israa'iil middood.
17 Daan wuxuu noqon doonaa abeeso jidka dhex joogta,
Iyo jilbis waddada dhex yaal,
Oo fardaha cedhbaha ka qaniina,
Si uu kii faraska ku joogaana dib ugu dhaco.
18 Rabbiyow, waxaan sugayay badbaadintaada.

21 Naftaali waa cawl la furay,
Hadallo wanwanaagsanna wuu ku hadlaa.
22 Yuusuf waa laan midho leh,
Waa laan midho leh oo il biyo ah ku ag taal;
Laamihiisuna derbigay kor u dhaafaan.
23 Qaansolayaasha ayaa aad u dhibay,
Wayna toogteen oo silciyeen;
24 Laakiinse qaansadiisu xoog bay sii yeelatay,
Dhudhummadii gacmihiisana waxaa lagu xoogeeyey
Gacmaha Kan xoogga leh oo Yacquub,

25 Oo ah Ilaaha aabbahaa oo ku caawimi doona,
Iyo Ilaaha Qaadirka ah, oo kugu barakayn doona
Barakooyinka samada sare,
Iyo barakooyinka moolka hoos jiifa,
Iyo barakooyinka naasaha iyo maxalka.
26 Barakooyinkii aabbahaa
Way ka xoog badnaadeen barakooyinkii awowayaashay
Ilaa meesha ugu fog oo buuraha weligood waara;
Waxay saarnaan doonaan madaxa Yuusuf,
Iyo dhakada kan walaalihiis laga soocay.
27 Benyaamiin waa yeey hilib dillaacsada;
Oo aroorta wuxuu cuni doonaa wixii uu ugaadhsaday,
Fiidkana wuxuu qaybin doonaa wixii uu dhacay.
28 Kuwan oo dhammu waa laba iyo tobankii qabiil oo reer binu Israa'iil; tanuna waa wixii aabbahood kula hadlay oo ugu duceeyey; mid walbana sidii ducadiisu ahayd buu ugu duceeyey.

Jacob Blesses His Sons(A)
49 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: “Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come.(B)
3 “Reuben, you are my firstborn,(E)
my might, the first sign of my strength,(F)
excelling in honor,(G) excelling in power.
4 Turbulent as the waters,(H) you will no longer excel,
for you went up onto your father’s bed,
onto my couch and defiled it.(I)
5 “Simeon(J) and Levi(K) are brothers—
their swords[a] are weapons of violence.(L)
6 Let me not enter their council,
let me not join their assembly,(M)
for they have killed men in their anger(N)
and hamstrung(O) oxen as they pleased.
7 Cursed be their anger, so fierce,
and their fury,(P) so cruel!(Q)
I will scatter them in Jacob
and disperse them in Israel.(R)
8 “Judah,[b](S) your brothers will praise you;
your hand will be on the neck(T) of your enemies;
your father’s sons will bow down to you.(U)
9 You are a lion’s(V) cub,(W) Judah;(X)
you return from the prey,(Y) my son.
Like a lion he crouches and lies down,
like a lioness—who dares to rouse him?
10 The scepter will not depart from Judah,(Z)
nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,[c]
until he to whom it belongs[d] shall come(AA)
and the obedience of the nations shall be his.(AB)
11 He will tether his donkey(AC) to a vine,
his colt to the choicest branch;(AD)
he will wash his garments in wine,
his robes in the blood of grapes.(AE)
12 His eyes will be darker than wine,
his teeth whiter than milk.[e](AF)
13 “Zebulun(AG) will live by the seashore
and become a haven for ships;
his border will extend toward Sidon.(AH)
14 “Issachar(AI) is a rawboned[f] donkey
lying down among the sheep pens.[g](AJ)
15 When he sees how good is his resting place
and how pleasant is his land,(AK)
he will bend his shoulder to the burden(AL)
and submit to forced labor.(AM)
16 “Dan[h](AN) will provide justice for his people
as one of the tribes of Israel.(AO)
17 Dan(AP) will be a snake by the roadside,
a viper along the path,(AQ)
that bites the horse’s heels(AR)
so that its rider tumbles backward.
22 “Joseph(BB) is a fruitful vine,(BC)
a fruitful vine near a spring,
whose branches(BD) climb over a wall.[k]
23 With bitterness archers attacked him;(BE)
they shot at him with hostility.(BF)
24 But his bow remained steady,(BG)
his strong arms(BH) stayed[l] limber,
because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,(BI)
because of the Shepherd,(BJ) the Rock of Israel,(BK)
25 because of your father’s God,(BL) who helps(BM) you,
because of the Almighty,[m](BN) who blesses you
with blessings of the skies above,
blessings of the deep springs below,(BO)
blessings of the breast(BP) and womb.(BQ)
26 Your father’s blessings are greater
than the blessings of the ancient mountains,
than[n] the bounty of the age-old hills.(BR)
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,(BS)
on the brow of the prince among[o] his brothers.(BT)
27 “Benjamin(BU) is a ravenous wolf;(BV)
in the morning he devours the prey,(BW)
in the evening he divides the plunder.”(BX)
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel,(BY) and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing(BZ) appropriate to him.
The Death of Jacob
29 Then he gave them these instructions:(CA) “I am about to be gathered to my people.(CB) Bury me with my fathers(CC) in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,(CD) 30 the cave in the field of Machpelah,(CE) near Mamre(CF) in Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field(CG) as a burial place(CH) from Ephron the Hittite. 31 There Abraham(CI) and his wife Sarah(CJ) were buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah(CK) were buried, and there I buried Leah.(CL) 32 The field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites.[p](CM)”
33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people.(CN)

49 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.
6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
