14 But when[a] Paul was about to open his[b] mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it was some crime or wicked villainy, O Jews, I would have been justified in accepting[c] your complaint. 15 But if it is questions concerning a word and names and your own law,[d] see to it[e] yourselves! I do not wish to be a judge of these things.” 16 And he drove them away from the judgment seat.

14 Just as Paul was about to speak, Gallio said to them, “If you Jews were making a complaint about some misdemeanor or serious crime, it would be reasonable for me to listen to you. 15 But since it involves questions about words and names and your own law(A)—settle the matter yourselves. I will not be a judge of such things.” 16 So he drove them off.
