17 When Paul and his companions had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica,^(A) where there was a Jewish synagogue.

17 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

¹⁶for even when I was in Thessalonica,^(A) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.^(B)

¹⁶For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
