2 Thessalonians 2:4-7
New International Version
4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God(A) or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.(B)
5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?(C) 6 And now you know what is holding him back,(D) so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back(E) will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.
2 Thessalonians 2:4-7
King James Version
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
