¹⁰ Hezekiah answered, It is an easy matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps; so let the shadow go back ten steps.

¹¹ So Isaiah the prophet cried to the Lord, and He brought the shadow the ten steps backward by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.

¹² At that time Merodach-baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he had heard of Hezekiah’s illness.^(A)
