³⁰Josiah’s servants drove his corpse in a chariot from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in a tomb made for him.

Jehoahaz is Anointed King

The people of the land took Josiah’s son Jehoahaz, anointed him, and installed him as king in his father’s place. ³¹Jehoahaz was 23 years old when he became king. He reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal. She was the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. ³²He practiced what the Lord considered to be evil, just as all of his ancestors had done.

³⁰Josiah’s servants brought his body in a chariot^(A) from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father.

Jehoahaz King of Judah^(B)

³¹Jehoahaz^(C) was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Hamutal^(D) daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah. ³²He did evil^(E) in the eyes of the Lord, just as his predecessors had done.
