¹⁰ Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in ^[a]prison, for he was enraged at him for this. And Asa mistreated some of the people at the same time.

²¹ So ^(A)they conspired against him, and at the command of the king they stoned him ^[a]to death in the courtyard of the house of the Lord.

²⁶ And the king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son, Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel to ^(A)seize Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet, but the ^(B)Lord hid them.

⁵ Although Herod wanted to put him to death, he feared the crowd, because they regarded ^[a]John as ^(A)a prophet.
