11 Now may our God and Father(A) himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other(B) and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless(C) and holy in the presence of our God and Father(D) when our Lord Jesus comes(E) with all his holy ones.(F)
Living to Please God
4 As for other matters, brothers and sisters,(G) we instructed you how to live(H) in order to please God,(I) as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3 It is God’s will(J) that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;(K) 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a](L) in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust(M) like the pagans,(N) who do not know God;(O) 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister.[b](P) The Lord will punish(Q) all those who commit such sins,(R) as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.(S) 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.(T)

11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
4 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
