⁶⁹ While the main force made a frontal attack, the troops in ambush emerged from their place of concealment and joined in the fighting. ⁷⁰ All of the men with Jonathan fled; not one of them was left except for Mattathias, son of Absalom, and Judas, son of Chalphi, the commanders of the army. ⁷¹ Jonathan tore his clothes, threw dust on his head, and prayed.
