¹⁰So they did this. They took two such cows and hitched them to the cart and penned up their calves.

¹⁰And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:

¹³He did not take the ark to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom^(A) the Gittite.

¹³So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.

¹⁴The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months, and the Lord blessed his household^(A) and everything he had.

¹⁴And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.
