48 He fought very bravely and he won against the Amalekites. Saul kept Israel safe from all the people who attacked them.
49 Saul's sons were Jonathan, Ishvi and Malki-Shua.[a] Saul had two daughters. Merab was his older daughter. Michal was his younger daughter. 50 The name of Saul's wife was Ahinoam. She was the daughter of Ahimaaz. Abner was the leader of Saul's army. He was the son of Saul's uncle, Ner.

48 He fought valiantly and defeated the Amalekites,(A) delivering Israel from the hands of those who had plundered them.
Saul’s Family
49 Saul’s sons were Jonathan, Ishvi and Malki-Shua.(B) The name of his older daughter was Merab, and that of the younger was Michal.(C) 50 His wife’s name was Ahinoam daughter of Ahimaaz. The name of the commander of Saul’s army was Abner(D) son of Ner, and Ner was Saul’s uncle.(E)
