⁷ They numbered 288 together with their relatives who were all trained and skillful in music for the Lord.

⁶ The priests and the Levites were standing at their stations. The Levites had the musical instruments of the Lord, which King David had made to praise the Lord—“for His faithful love endures forever”—when he offered praise with them.^(A) Across from the Levites, the priests were blowing trumpets, and all the people were standing.

²⁷ Then Hezekiah ordered that the burnt offering be offered on the altar. When the burnt offerings began, the song of the Lord and the trumpets began, accompanied by the instruments of David king of Israel.
