All the Men of the Bible
Duration: 365 days
Boaz, Booz [Bō'ăz,Bō'ŏz]—strength or fleetness. The wealthy and honorable Bethlehemite, or Judahite, who became the second husband of Ruth the Moabitess, and ancestor of David and of Christ (Ruth 2, 3, 4; Matt. 1:5). The name of the left pillar of Solomon’s Temple was Boaz, for “in it is strength” (1 Kings 7:21). Boaz was true to his name and comes before us strong in grace, integrity and purpose. As the lord of the harvest, master of servants, redeemer, bridegroom and life-giver, he is a fitting type of Christ.
