David said to God, "I have sinned greatly by taking this census. Please forgive my guilt for doing this foolish thing." — 1 Chronicles 21:8
There is no greater way to feel close to God than by being totally truthful and honest with Him. Truth truly is what sets us free and it starts with us looking at ourselves and recognizing that we do indeed need a real relationship with our real God. Take a few moments and watch this week's video and see how to get up-close and personal with the God who created the heavens and the earth!
God's Letter to You
I believe if The Lord was going to write you a personal letter about battles this life brings it may read like this....
My Beloved Child,
I love you and there is no wrong that you can do that will keep you from getting right with me. I adore you, and I know your imperfections and I know the plans that I have for you and I want to protect those plans.
There is nothing that you can do that will stop me from loving you. My feelings towards you do not change by your actions or reactions. I am God, I am not human, and my love for you is unconditional. I want you to be real with me so you can live a real life filled with joy and so you can see for yourself who I am and how powerful my grace is in your life.
Now, my beloved, get real with me and let's make things right together.
Your Heavenly Father
Dear God, I lift your daughter up before you today and I pray, God, that you would help her get real with you so she can get right with you and she can be free. I ask that you would free her from all guilt and replace whatever she is holding inside with your gift of unending grace. Amen.
Treasure of Truth
When we get real with God, we get right with God.
